The Pilates method as I teach it

The Pilates method as I teach it and as I have been taught is in the continuation of the work as proposed by Ron Fletcher one of the « Pilates Elders » , as were designated the first students of Joseph Pilates.
It is based on scientific researches published since 1999 on the stabilization of spinal segments that demonstrate the interest of the neutral position of the spine, when used for the rehabilitation of low back pain patients.
Therefore, the 34 movements of Joseph Pilates’ original matwork repertoire were modified in light of these researches, to enable the beginners to safely start their learning of the method using the neutral position of the spine, which optimize the work in synergy of the core muscles (including the transverse abdominal and the lumbar part of the multifidus). This work focused on segment stabilization (pelvis and scapulars) allows once it is acquired a mobilization work and ensures safe progression to higher levels.
I offer a personalized approach based on individual posture and your current needs. Therefore, one to one sessions are recommended at the early stages of learning. Once the basics have been acquired, group classes can be joined and enjoyed. Classes consist of two, three or four persons (maximum in group programs).
Finally, on top of the machines originally designed by Joseph Pilates: the Reformer, the Cadillac in their compact form: the Alegro Tower of Balancedbody), Wunda Chair and the Spine Corrector (Pilates arch)(Pilates Arch)), I use a wide range of small equipments such as the Foam Roller, the Swiss Ball, the Pilates Circle, the BOSU…
